Scientific Information Centre of PCSIR has been established for dissemination of scientific and technological information which is vital component of R&D activities and industrial development. Thus SIC is entrusted with the two fold work of publishing the research results of PCSIR through regular and occasional publications and mass media as well as making available to PCSIR scientists the information generated elsewhere through maintaining liaison with national and international information centres.

Its regular publications are Pakistan Journal of Scientific and Industrial Research Series A: Physical Sciences and Series B: Biological Sciences, PCSIR Research and Development Programme, PCSIR Annual Report and PCSIR Bulletin, while occasional publications are books, leaflets, technology briefs, brochures etc.
